Objective:
Though in its first year, the SCRIPTOID Writer's Challenge promises to be different from other similar competitions. Aside from cash prizes and packages offered by our sponsors, SCRIPTOID also gives the grand prize winner an offer of representation from ADA Management Group, an up and coming management firm in South Florida. Furthermore, everyone that submits a screenplay to the competition will receive a complimentary coverage of their work.

Any writer age 18 and over
Entry Fee:
$35 (by June 30th, 2010); $40 ( by August 15, 2010); $50 (by September 30th, 2010)

Rules:
- All entrants must be 18 or over at the time of entry.
- Entrance is open to both domestic and international writers.
- Screenplays and teleplays should be registered with the Writer's Guild or the Library of Congress. SCRIPTOID and all related affiliates are not responsible for unregistered materials.
- Feature scripts must be between 90-120 pages. Teleplays must be no longer than 75 pages.
- All genres are accepted.
- The television competition is open to hour-long dramas only. No sitcoms, reality shows or other forms of scripted television are permitted at this time.
- The feature competition is open to feature-length screenplays only. No shorts, documentaries or other forms of scripted material are permitted at this time.
- Screenplays and teleplays must be the original work of the author. No third party designations or ghostwriter entries are permitted.
- Scripts must be in ENGLISH. Exceptions include: added subtitles, overlays, etc.
- Scripts must be in industry standard format. Mailed submissions must include a standard cover and be fastened with two or three brass brads.
- Scripts must be on plain white paper.
- Multiple entries by the same author are acceptable. Each entry must be submitted separately and be accompanied by a separate entry form and separate entry fee.
- Multiple authors are permitted. If the screenplay or teleplay is chosen as a cash prize winner, the prize will be divided accordingly. If other incentives are given, additional arrangements will be made.
- All submitted drafts are final- no new drafts or corrected pages will be accepted under any circumstances.
- Authors who submit material electronically will have ten (10) days to pay entry fee in full. If entry fee is not received in full by midnight on the tenth day, the author forfeits his entry and will have to resubmit.
- SCRIPTOID does not, under any circumstances, accept cash as payment. Personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, PAYPAL, and certain credit/debit cards are accepted.
- Current employees and clients of ADA Management Group are not permitted to enter the competition.
- If at any time SCRIPTOID does not receive its entry quota, SCRIPTOID reserves the right to cancel the competition without prior notice, with refunds, or minimize/diminish cash prizes.
- Submit only copies of said materials. Under no circumstances will screenplays or teleplays be returned. Submissions can, however, be destroyed upon written request from the author.
- Entering the competition constitutes permission to use the winnners' names, likenesses, and material for publicity and promotions with no additional compensation. We reserve the right to promote any and all progress, development and success of the related materials.
- ADA Management Group does not guarantee or promise representation or involvement in materials above and beyond what is stated in the competition's regulations. All prizes, sponsors and promotions are as stated.
Awards:
Assorted SPONSORSHIP packages varying from year to year, an offer of representation from ADA Management Group, as well as $2500.00 to our Grand Prize Winner.
