Contact contest for this year's deadline.
Objective:
To help launch the careers of 4 previously undiscovered screenwriters. Once the winners are announced, hard-copies of all four winners will be delivered to the 20 production companies and literary agencies that have requested the winners for their consideration.
Eligibility:
International competition. Open to anyone 18 and older.
Entry Fee:
$35 members / $40 non-members (by Dec. 31, 2009); $40/$45 (by March 1st, 2010); $45/$50 (by May 1st, 2010); $55 (by May 15, 2010, WithoutABox only)
Rules:
  • Scripts may not have been previously optioned, produced or sold.
  • Contact information (name, E-mail address, etc.) may be added to the cover page
  • Scripts in PDF, Final Draft (.fdr), or Microsoft Word (.doc) are preferred
  • Script should be a feature-length screenplay. All genres, styles, lengths, etc. are fine
  • No limit on number of entries allowed, to either competition
  • Simultaneous submissions are fine (i.e. you can enter other screenwriting contests with the same script)
  • Synopses and loglines are optional. Send any additional materials to entry@scriptpimp.com after entering
  • Previous Script Pimp competition entries welcome to enter again and are guaranteed fresh reads
  • New Writers Database members may send their free entry to entry@scriptpimp.com.
  • Additional notes on the script may be added during registration for $40
Awards:
$20,000 in cash, $80,000 in prizes, including one-on-one mentor meetings, travel vouchers for the finalists, Script Pimp Writers Workshop notes, Final Draft software, screenwriting magazine subscriptions, and more. Full listing of prizes on Script Pimp website.
